Leeton, located in the Riverina region of New South Wales, offers excellent gliding conditions with its flat terrain and consistent weather patterns. The area is known for its strong thermal activity, making it an ideal location for gliding competitions.
This competition intends to use Distance Handicapped Tasking (DHT). DHT is a tasking system that allows gliders of different performance to compete fairly by adjusting task distances based on glider handicaps. This means that lower performance gliders fly a modified racing task with shorter distances compared to higher performance gliders.
